this is why i really feel for kyoko
i mean, sure, you’ve got mami’s family dying in a car crash so she goes on, trying to be a good role model and helping everyone even though she is obviously suffering from being alone for so long
sayaka gets her heart literally torn to shreds and then stomped on until it’s nothing but dust, and all her beliefs in justice start to mean nothing. plus she died once already from having her actual soul thrown off of a bridge.
you’ve got homura, who made her wish just to redo her meeting and help madoka, only to have to re re re re re re etc do it over and over and over, watching madoka turn into a witch even more horrible than walpurgisnacht every single fucking time.
and you’ve got madoka, who watched everyone suffer and felt she couldn’t do a thing about it.
I DON’T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND HOW FUCKING METAL KYOKO REALLY IS.
HER DAD, WHO SHE WAS ONLY TRYING TO HELP OUT (AND THE REST OF HER FAMILY) AND IN TURN TRADED HER LIFE FOR. DISOWNED HER AND CALLED HER AN EVIL WITCH WHO PLAYS WITH PEOPLE’S HEARTS.
HE FELL SO FUCKING FAR INTO DESPAIR THAT HE LITERALLY WENT INSANE AND MURDERED HIS OWN FAMILY THEN COMMITTED SUICIDE
DO YOU REALIZE WHAT KYOKO HAS BEEN LIVING WITH ALL THIS TIME
SHE’S BEEN LIVING WITH THAT WEIGHT ON HER SHOULDERS
BECAUSE IT WAS HER FAULT JUST BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO HELP
SO SHE DECIDED
I’M ONLY GOING TO HELP MYSELF
OBVIOUSLY HELPING OTHERS IS TOO FUCKING DANGEROUS SO I MIGHT AS WELL NOT SO FUCK EVERYONE BYE
SHE’S BEEN ALONE FOR ALL THIS TIME WITH THIS GUILT BUT SHE NEVER LET IT WEIGH HER DOWN
SHE COULD’VE TURNED INTO A WITCH
BUT SHE DIDN’T
AND FUCKING THEN
SHE MEETS THE GANG
SHE STARTS TO FEEL SYMPATHY AFTER FINDING OUT THAT MAGICAL GIRLS ARE DOOMED FROM THE START
SHE TRIES TO REASON WITH SAYAKA
TELL HER SHE SHOULDN’T WORRY ABOUT ANYONE ELSE BECAUSE EVENTUALLY IT”LL COME BACK TO BITE HER
AND WHAT HAPPENED?
SHE GOT SCOLDED
AND YELLED AT
BUT SURPRISE SURPRISE, KYOKO WAS RIGHT.
AND IN THE END, SHE STILL FELT BAD, AND SACRIFICED HERSELF TO SAVE MADOKA
THIS HAS BEEN A FUCKING PSA
